White Pasta? Kind of, white rice, white flour, some cereals, and white bread too

Age, height, weight, gender, activity, and illness all matter

Am I eating probiotics when I eat fish?
Think protein and Omega (good) fats

When I eat beef, asparagus, potatoes, and ice cream, am I eating Omega fats?
Now, are they fish, walnuts or flax? But yes to Omega 6 in beef

Does my fried steak contain as much fat as my broiled lamb?
Butter fried? Probably more!

Do probiotics need a prebiotic diet?
Yup! It's their food

Hmm... no

Silly! Try citrus fruits and non-fried potatoes

Again, silly! In fruits and veggies too:))
 
As long as I am drinking soda, juice, water, coffee, or tea, am I drinking enough liquids?
Yes, and there is also water in the foods we eat, but water trumps all!
 
When I eat vegetables, am I eating protein?
Hmm excellent question! Grains are a more reliable source
 
How much protein do I need to eat every day?
Weight, activity level, injury, illness all matter
 
Are tuna and avocado fatty?
We love the good fat in tuna and avocado
 
How many servings in each food group?
Ouch! We need to learn this one by heart. It depends on you
 
Is tofu is a high calorie food?
Great low calorie, high protein food with carbs
 
What are quinoa, kelp, and spirulina?
Grain and Algae. Yummy protein!
 
What would happen if I ate more protein than I need?
Not recommended ! Seriously

 

What are the consequences of eating more carbs than I need?
Not recommended either ! ! Seriously
 
Which are the good fats?
A better question is: which are the ones to avoid! (Trans and saturated)

Can I get "backed up" if I eat tons of fibre?
Oh yes! For sure. The flip side is ridding yourself of nutrients too quickly
 
Is whole wheat the same as whole grain?
No! Whole grain is the way to go
